A mandatory service project has been issued by Mrs. Hoy for the next 8 Fridays for different religion classes. Starting on February 20th, going on until April 24th, a different religion class will be making lunches and hygiene kits that are going to be donate to the homeless. This activity will start at 7 am and going on until 7:30 am. This will be happening in the student commons.
Doing this required service project will grant you 1 service hour. Even without getting service hours, you still should attend and not skip out on it because it goes to a great cause.
“I think it’s great way for Manogue to unite and come together by being involved in giving back to the community.” Haedynn Maldonaldo said. Haedynn is a proud member of miner ministry and has been doing service projects and helping the community. She loves doing service project and has been doing lots of help in our community, and believes that this project Manogue is doing is great. It helps out the homeless and gives back to lots of people, which should be the ultimate goal as a Catholic.
The service project commences on February 20th, with 1st period religion doing the work towards the homeless. Then, on February 27th, 2nd period religion does the work and so on. Each religion class will eventually do the mandatory service project. It is not grade based, and all grades from 9th to 12th grade will do the project.
It is a fantastic goal set out by Mrs. Hoy with an incredible goal of giving back to the homeless over the span of 2 months. It is mandatory attendance so don’t skip out on it!
