ASB elections are coming up and excitement is filling the air throughout the Bishop Manogue Campus. The ASB (associated student body) is responsible for all of the fun student events that take place throughout the school year, from the Homecoming dance to planning spirit weeks. It consists of several positions that work in harmony to ensure a smooth and fun school year. Let’s take a look at one of the positions: the secretary.
The secretary is crucial in making sure that records are accurately maintained, updates are shared with the administration, and the school events calendar is organized. On top of that, the secretary is in charge of noting down important things discussed during ASB meetings and sorting these notes. This is a great position for anyone with the passion and skill of good note-taking.
The current ASB secretary for the 2024 to 2025 school year is Olivia Baker, a current Manogue senior. Baker has done a fantastic job in this position and helped to ensure the success of fun school events and activities this year. When asked what her favorite part of being secretary was, she replied “I enjoy being secretary because I get to take notes, stay organized and orderly, and stay involved in all the events and activities going on at the school.”
