The 2025 Student Elections are approaching fast! “What do some of the positions even do?” Some may ask. That is what I am hear to tell you, about the President and Vice President spots.

The current holder of the Student Body President is Molly Sullivan. The Current holder of the Student Body Vice President is Ella Hallert. This is a big role to fill. You have to be voted in by the students, and also by the teachers. This role needs someone who is confident, outgoing, strong, responsible, creative, organized and able to compromise. If this sounds like you, than this is the position for you!

When you decide to run for this position, you need to know a couple things, you need to be a good leader. You need to be an example of the school mission which is “Education through Faith, Leadership, Knowledge, and Compassion.” You have to be willing to talk to, and connect with admin. You need to be good at communication, as you must talk to adults in order to get their approval for dances, events, ect. You have to delegate tasks to the other people that are part of the Student Body. You have to coordinate with the faculty, and students.

I asked Molly, our current Student Body President, a couple questions. She said her favorite part is “participating and planing all the after school events”. The hardest part , and her least favorite is when “admin does not allow ideas that the student body really liked.” You need to always have a backup plan, and be prepared to be told no.
