As the elections for student council begin, many of these positions remain relatively unknown as compared to the more well-known president or treasurer positions. One of these is the Historian.
This student acts as the chronicler and distributor of the school’s memories. Responsibilities include documenting school events and sharing the information with the student population. They work closely with the Commissioner of Media.
Maddie Tucker is the current Historian. About her work, she says, “I work to document the events of Manogue by taking pictures of different student activities, such as rallies and games. She adds, “I enjoy taking photos that show the brightest moments of the Manogue community.” She advises students looking at this position to “stay motivated and organized to ensure Manogue’s history is accurately and thoughtfully represented.”
If her words resonate with you, or if you enjoy photography, writing, and uplifting fellow students, this may be the position for you! If you’re interested in applying for this position, use the link in your class Blackbaud page to apply. Contact Mr. Deruyter with any questions.
