Calling all Miners, BMCHS track and field season is finally here and you should be a part of it! There is no experience needed and it a great way to get involved in a Manogue sport.
Within track and field, there is something for everybody to try! For the runners out there, there are so many options (including long-distance, short-distance, relay, and hurdle events). Same thing goes for both jumpers and throwers. The fun thing is that you can really find your calling, whether it be running or something equally as awesome.
Now for the pondering question: why should you join? For starters, track and field is a great sport to get your body moving and allows you to try a variety of events. Along with that, it is a fantastic way to make new friends and be a part of a supportive team environment.
A fellow Manogue student who was a part of the team last year stated “Honestly joining the team was one of the best choices I have made. I was kinda worried walking in (as I did not have much experience), but it has just been a blast. I would encourage everybody to join and try something new! On top of that, Coach Moss is the best.”
Preseason practices are currently going on after school at the track in preparation for the regular season. For any Miners interested in joining or with any questions, please contact Mr. Moss at dale.moss@bishopmanogue.org or visit him in the portable classroom out by the baseball field.
