Mr. Werner and Ms. Haeberlin-Cope are holding a Zoom meeting on February 28th for those interested in joining the Miners of Hope pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi during Fall break of the next school year.
This pilgrimage includes many activities in order to further build your faith in God, including visiting all 4 of the papal Churches, which includes the San Giovanni in Laterano, the San Pietro in Vaticano, and the Santa Maria Maggiore. It includes visiting the Holy Doors of all the Churches as well, which is said to absolve one of all their sins by passing through it. Another part of the trip is going to St. Peter’s Basilica and attending a mass there. It is considered the most beautiful building of its time. You also get to visit the body of soon-to-be St. Carlo Acutis, the first millennial saint.
Perhaps the biggest part of the trip is going to the Vatican and praying to the Angelus with the pope, which is truly beautiful, powerful, and possibly a life changing experience, if everything before hadn’t changed your life already. You also get to visit historic sites in Rome and Assisi on guided tours.
This is an unforgettable experience that shouldn’t be missed out on. Mr Werner describes it as, “an opportunity to grow in faith and community as we travel to one of the holiest sites in all of Christendom.” So don’t forget to go to the meeting on February 28, as it is the DEADLINE to commit to this life changing event as well as a fun way to spend Fall break.
