The Bishop Manogue Cross Country Team went down to Rocklin California on Saturday August 30th to race in the Oakmont Cross Country Invitational.
The team had 3 girls get medals for finishing in the top 20 of their respective races, those girls being Sam Tolotti (Senior) in the Girls Varsity race coming in 16th place, next was Emmery Scolari (Freshman) in the Girls Varsity race coming in 20th place, and finally Emily Azzi (Freshman) in the Girls Frosh/Soph race coming in 14th place. When asked why she runs Sam Tolotti said “I only run for the medals.” This shows the drive that not only she has but the entire team striving to win in every meet and race possible.
