There was a cross country meet las Saturday in Grass Valley, with most of the Bishop Manogue cross country team participating. The team placed 3rd overall for both freshman/sophomore girls and varsity girls, while the varsity boys team placed 5th overall.
The meet happened on Saturday, September 7th at the Nevada Union High School in Grass Valley, California, with most of the Bishop Manogue cross country team in attendance. For frosh/soph girls the team placed 3rd overall, with Amelia Cale placing 16th and Kya Flinn placing 18th. For frosh/soph boys Nathan Ross placed 16th. For varsity boys the team as a whole placed 5th, and Erik Swanson finished 20th, while Grant Cameron beat him by one and a half seconds, placing 19th. Finally the girls varsity team placed 3rd overall, with Sam Tolotti placing first, followed by Emmery Scolari in 3rd and Summer Roleson in 17th. With 8 people on the team placing in the top 20 for their respective races, the meet was quite a success for the team!
The next meet will be this upcoming weekend on September 12th, at the North Tahoe High School, with the first meet starting at noon.
