The Bishop Manogue Varsity Volleyball Team beat the McQueen Lancers in straight sets on Tuesday, earning their 10th win of the season. The Miners are now 10-1 after dominating the match 25-23, 25-15, and 25-21.
The team came out energized in the first setting barely winning 25-23. They brought that same momentum into the second set winning 25-15 after a long rally. In the final set the miners won 25-21 securing their win. Sofia Jaferian had a standout game with 10 digs and 1 assist. As well as Brooklyn Remington getting 17 assists and four digs. Their rhythm did a great job keeping the team in tact and the energy high.
With powerful serving and maintaining a strong defense, the miners closed the match in straight sets, bringing their record up to a solid 10-1. Their teamwork and support continues to shine so brightly on the court.
The Miners continue to strengthen their position as one of the top teams in the region. The miners are building the chemistry and the experience they need to take them into the playoffs. With confidence showing on the court each match it’s safe to say the Lady Miners won’t be stopped anytime soon.
