Are you looking for a club that allows you to unleash your inner adventurer, while enjoying the great outdoors of Northern Nevada and helping out the community? Then the outdoor club is definitely your cup of tea! The Bishop Manogue outdoor club is returning again this year and looking for new members. On Tuesday 9/2 and Wednesday 9/3, they had a table at the annual Bishop Manogue club fair to provide prospective members with a bit of information about the club itself.
So you may be wondering, what is the outdoor club? The outdoor club is a club that allows students to connect with nature, make new friendships, and complete a variety of different service projects. Activities completed by the club in previous years included a school campus cleanup, making paracord survival bracelets, and of course going on lots of beautiful hikes. The club meets roughly one time a month.
Club leader Sierra Woida said “The outdoor club is the perfect way to earn service hours while having fun. If you enjoy the outdoors or want to learn more about our Earth, it’s not too late to join the outdoors club! We will notify you of potential ways to earn service hours, as well as dates when we plan to do group hikes where you can explore the outdoors with your friends and classmates. Not only is this club amazing to be a part of, but it’s also great to make new friends and learn new things!
Any student interested in joining the outdoor club, contact Kyle Perlich, Sierra Woida, or Mr. Dicus.
