The Bishop Manogue Mountain bike team raised standards at their race Sunday, the 7th, at the Northstar Navigator in Northstar.. With multiple podiums, the team went home with 2nd overall for the second division.
With many popular fall sports, such as football and volleyball, the Bishop Manouge mountain bike team is demolishing their opponents in the background. With their preseason practices starting in July, the team has come to both of its races prepared and ready to shed some trails. Their first race, they also placed 2nd with multiple podiums, including Alex Kozlowski in 3rd for boys varsity, Sammy Malone in second for girls jv, and Sebastian Grant in third for boys jv. With repeat podiums at Northstar, Alex third for boys varsity and Sammy Malone second for girls jv, and Sebastian Grant with an impressive 1st the bishop manogue time took home another 2nd overall.
Looking ahead, the mountain bike team has another race at Mammoth ski resort on September 28 and two more races after that in Carson and Truckee. When asked in an interview, Coach Jeff invites all to come join the team at the races and practices, “We work hard, and play hard. It’s a great opportunity… we would love to have them [kids] out.”
