The Bishop Manogue football team scored a win against the Reno High football team with a final score of 31-20, a confident victory for Manogue this Friday evening at the home field. Manogue held the lead for the entire game thanks to the aggressive offense and the stonewall defense.
Starting off the game, Manogue scored the first point against Reno with 5 minutes left in the first quarter, achieving a touchdown and a field goal kick for 7 points total! At the end of the first quarter, the score is in Manogue’s favor, ending at 7-0. The second quarter begun with a large play from Manogue’s Amir McGruder, catching a deep throw, scoring a touchdown! Thanks to this play, Manogue ended the second quarter at 14-0.
The third quarter saw the visiting team score, Reno getting their first point with a large play from number 5, running the ball from one endzone to the other! The third quarter ended with a score of 28-6, Manogue absolutely dominating this quarter. In the final quarter, Reno began to creep up, scoring another touchdown with 8 minutes left. At the end of the fourth quarter, Reno had scored another touchdown and a two point conversion, ending the game at 31-20. Reno fought a great fight in this Friday night game, and Manogue fought harder, taking that victory by absolute force.
