The first senior lunch of the year was held on October 2nd in the small gym, setting the tone for the months ahead. The event featured food prepared by parent volunteers, including pork sandwiches and lettuce-and-cheese wraps, alongside an assortment of chips and drinks. Dessert options ranged from cookies to ice cream from Handle’s, adding a sense of celebration.
After lunch, students gathered to play games like cornhole before the entire class participated in a prize game. Gift cards to local restaurants, valued at 25 dollars each, were awarded to the first students who could produce items such as a movie ticket or a Manogue pass from their backpacks. The lunch provided seniors with the opportunity to gather as a class, enjoy a meal together, and create shared memories during their final year.
The next senior lunch is planned to take place in about six weeks from now and will be as equally as memorable.
