With Manogue’s election season in full swing, we take a deeper dive into the amazing candidates running for the Commissioner of Communication position!

There are 4 candidates running for this position for next years Student Council.

Chiara Ferrari is also, in technicality, running for this position. However, she has said that she is focusing her campaign more towards her running for secretary.

Audrey York:

My name is Audrey York and I am running for Commissioner of Communications. I am a good candidate for this role because I can explain information simply and clearly and I’m creative. I am running for this position so I can be more involved. I would be a good candidate for commissioner of communications because I am a very creative and well organized person. I do well with projects, relaying information, and getting things done. I would love to be elected so I could have the opportunity to keep the students connected and informed along with being more involved in our school spirit.

Grace Haire:

My name is Grace Haire, and I’m a sophomore currently. I am running for the Commissioner of Communication. I believe I would be good at being the commissioner of communication because I am pretty active on social media, and I know what would get peoples attention. I care about student voice, I want our Manogue community to be able to be informed as well as heard. I am very consistent, I make sure to be aware of deadlines and I do a good job at meeting them on time. I want to be in a student body role because I don’t want to just attend school, I want to be able to help improve it. I feel strongly about representing others as well as I want to be able to grow as a leader. Being apart of student body would help me develop those decision making and teamwork skills that will be needed after high school.

Mia Parks:

My name is Mia Parks, and I’m a hardworking, kind, and positive student here at Manogue. I enjoy serving my school and local community, and I’ve had the honer of playing as a captain for both the soccer and basketball teams, as well as being a board member of Sodality! I am running for Commissioner of Communications. I would be good at this position because I am organized and good at communicating. I will make sure that the student body hears about all events and activities at Manogue. I will use instagram, miner tv, and other communication platforms/programs to make sure that everyone know what is going on at school and stays in the loop! I want to be in ASB because I care about making our school more fun, inclusive, and engaging or everyone. I have strong ideas and leadership skills to turn them into action while serving out school community. I’m responsible, dependable, and committed to keeping students informed and represented.
