That’s right, it’s election season!
Elections have once again rolled around and Manogue has some incredible nominees lined up for the role of Senior Class President.
The Senior Class President serves as the voice and leader of the senior class, representing students’ ideas, concerns, and goals throughout the year. They help plan and organize major senior events while also working closely with school administration and student council. In addition, they help run the senior class social media, keeping everyone informed, engaged, and excited about upcoming events. Most importantly, they work to connect the senior class – bringing students together, building unity, and making sure everyone feels included as they celebrate their final year.
With such a major role, it’s important to get to know a little bit about the candidate before casting your vote.

Why would you be good for the Senior Representative position?
What do you love most about Manogue?
Brooklyn Remington
1. Hi! My name is Brooklyn Remington. I’m a senior at Manogue with a huge passion for singing and performing, and I’m also a varsity volleyball player. Whether I’m on stage or on the court, I love bringing energy, leadership, and school spirit to everything I do.
2. Being an athlete and a performer has taught me how to work with all kinds of personalities, stay committed, and lead by example. I’ve learned how to make sure everyone feels included; not just my friends, but our entire class.Senior year is such a big deal, and I want to help make it the best year yet. As Senior Representative, I’d get to be the voice of our class and help plan events and make sure other’s voices are heard. I look forward to showing strong school spirit, and making meaningful memories before graduation.
3. What I love most about Manogue is the community. It seriously feels like a family. Manogue has felt like my home for the past 3 years and I see how people show up for each other here. I am so grateful for the opportunity to go here and as my high school journey is coming to an end, I want to give back. I want more excitement at events, more involvement across different groups, and clearer updates so everyone feels included and in the loop. Senior year should feel united and fun for everyone.
Lily Beckwith
1. Hi, I’m Lily Beckwith, an upcoming Manogue senior! You might know me as one of our school’s Varsity volleyball players. I started my volleyball journey at Manogue my freshman year, and now I’m committed to Long Beach State. I’ve found many of my friendships, and really, my main plan for sports and my career through Manogue. I’m really excited for the upcoming year. I’m loud in a supportive way, and I’m very invested in making senior year worth it.
2. I believe I would be an absolutely great fit for this position because, being an upcoming senior myself, I wanna make our senior year the best year of our teens to look back on. It’s our year, and I am definitely dedicated to making events ACTUALLY fun for everyone and making our senior class closer than ever.. Senior year is our time to assert our seniority and do what we want; these 4 years of school weren’t all for nothin’! I’d focus on giving seniors more chances to vote on what we want, more class spirit, and more fun events that actually bring everyone together. Senior Rep lets me represent the class to make our last year at Manogue memorable.
3. The community. Our student sections are nationally ranked thanks to our 2025 class. This shows how willing our students are to come together and support. Because of our student participation, we have so much energy as a school, which is really fun to be a part of. Also, the staff at Manogue and the people are awesome; they’re always willing to help, say hi to you in the hallways on your morning walk to class, and it makes the school feel more like a family.
Quinn Sullivan
1. My name is Quinn, and I will be a senior. I love being involved in our school’s community, athletics, clubs, and student activities. I care about leadership, teamwork, and bringing everyone together. It is most important to me to make sure everyone is included and is getting involved, making everyone’s senior year an experience that they all want to be a part of.
2. I would be good in the Senior Representative position because I am responsible, approachable, and want to listen to everyone’s ideas. I want more than just the title; I want to communicate with our class, bring up good ideas, and make sure decisions show what the seniors actually want.I want to make sure the last year of high school is the best and most memorable for all. I’m interested in this position because I get to represent our class and make sure our ideas are heard.
3. I love the energy and school spirit at Manogue; it feels like one big family where you always have people in your corner. Even though we’re a smaller school, we show up loud, proud, and ready to compete with everything. I want to build on that and make our senior class more connected, involved, and excited for the next school year.
Taylor Edelen
1. Hi! My name is Taylor Edelen and I’m running for Senior rep! I am very involved with manogue and I participate in many sports and clubs. I just finished my junior season as a varsity sideline and competition cheerleader, and now I’m starting to participate in track and field and the spring musical. I am also a sodality board member and a part of miner ministry!
2. As senior rep, I would make sure to promote the involvement of my classmates in different school activities even more than in the past. Making sure everyone knows what’s going on and when can really make sure that my class feels informed and excited enough to participate in the fun things manogue has to offer! Also, I would make sure to focus a lot on the opinions and feedback from my classmates to make sure that I’ve heard as many people as possible and can represent my class from a well informed standpoint.
3. There are many things I love about Manogue but I would say my favorite thing is the people. I have never been in an environment where I can experience so many new things with so many like minded people. I have been able to find such great people to surround myself with who support me, stand by me, and have the same mindset as me. I’ve found that no matter where you are in your life, you can always find your people at Manogue and I think that’s amazing. The fact that there’s so many people around you (whether it’s your closest friends or people you’ve encountered that just shoot you a smile) to lift you up and offer support with whatever you need is one the biggest things I look for in life and I’ve definitely been able to find that at Manogue.
