November 8, 2018
Recently, Hurricane Florence blasted the Carolina coast with 140 mph winds and, in some states, two to three inches of rain per hour. Florence was classified as a Category 4 hurricane, with multiple states forced to declare emergency including North and South Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland. The National Guard was deployed to perform evacuations and provide security. 40 people have died and there is at least 17 billion dollars in damage. Recovery efforts continue.
