One more Victory Under Girls Varsity Basketball Belt!
February 9, 2023
On Wednesday the Manogue Girls Varsity Basketball team handed it to the Reed Raiders with a whopping final score of 60-23. Despite it being Reed’s senior night and spirits being high, the girls varsity team showed Reed what it means to be a Bishop Manogue Miner.
We interviewed the Shooting guard, 15, Gabby Sullivan for her thoughts on the game. There’s a lot that goes into the team and how they keep moving forward towards each point.
How did the team do overall on the court? Was the communication firing or anything like that?
Gabby Sullivan:
We were all playing on the same page. We were everywhere we needed to be to run the ball. I really felt that our energy was really good on the court despite how crazy the Reeds student section was getting.
We’re so proud of the fight our girls have put into this season and we can’t wait to see them destroy it at state! Whenever they hit the court, their energy and drive is infectious for everyone there. Even the opposing team’s side will join us in our chants! Before the season is over we highly recommend that you catch one of their last games because each one matters more than that last. Help cheer on the girls to victory because every voice in the crowd at the games is one more inspiring person for our girls to keep them motivated!
