Snapchat AI made millions surprised and shocked after randomly posting to their story August 15th.
Snapchat AI launched this February in hopes to help Snapchatters, but recently it has been throwing people for a loop. The company, in an interview with CNN, expressed that the rogue video was “a glitch”. The video looked as if someone was taking a quick video of their ceiling. Seconds after the incident hundreds of videos were posted by Snapchat users that were spooked over this random video glitch. The reason behind Snapchats new AI feature is to give all users a source of answers, someone with advice, and basically a fake person that will respond as soon as you send a message. The AI was experimented in February but only to Snapchat+ users. (users who pay for a subscription to special features) At first people thought it was cool and fun to experiment with, then things get weird. People’s questions started to get weirder and the AI’s responses weren’t to far away from weird. Is SnapchatAI a cool tool, or a worrisome feature?
