Starting on Wednesday, September 8th, room B212 will play host to BMCHS Film’s first club meeting of the 2023-2024 school year.
As one of the most anticipated club returns, students who decide to join BMCHS Film can expect a fun and busy year, discussing, learning about, and creating movies together with a tight-knit group. The club is ready to welcome back its many returning members, as well as meet the many new students who have joined.
“Making movies is a group effort” Says club leader and founder, Millie Marincic, “The more people we have the more opportunities that are available to us!”
Fresh off the heels of BMCHS Film’s successful projects Don’t Turn the Pages, a 17 minute long horror short-film, and Trail by Water, a 2 minute long trailer experiment, this club will be taking the opportunities and running with them. Rumors of more trailer experiments, particularly in the Western genre, circled at the club fair held on Monday the 28th and Wednesday the 30th.
For any who are interested in joining BMCHS Film but missed the club fair, meetings are held every Wednesday and students are encouraged to drop in whenever they want to. Seniors in BMCHS Film with a 50% or higher attendance/participation are able to receive a cord to wear at graduation and all students who participate in the short film project are guaranteed an IMDb credit. Additionally, there are almost always treats at each meeting. Whether they are interested in the club’s activities (or just the candy) they won’t be disappointed!
