Our school system must evolve to meet the needs of our students and prepare them for the challenges they will inevitably face in the future. It can do this by incorporating new technologies such as AI and Virtual Reality into its curriculum. By doing this, the school system will be better equipping students to cope with the constantly changing landscape of the future.
The school system must integrate AI into their curriculum. AI has drastically advanced in the past year and must be taken advantage of. By partnering with AI, schools will be able to change the way they grade and tutor. AI algorithms can automatically grade students assignments with more accuracy than ever, while still providing quicker feedback to students. This frees up teachers’ time dramatically, which they can use to give more help for their students in the areas they are struggling in. AI tutors are becoming more and more prevalent in our society, so why shouldn’t we use them? By using AI tutors, we are able to provide struggling students with extra personalized learning, which can help them become proficient in any area they are struggling in.
We should also integrate Virtual Reality into our school system. By doing this, we are able to immerse students in interactive learning experiences. This provides students with the opportunity to visualize the concepts they are learning in class in 3D. Virtual Reality also helps students learn with more attentiveness. It caters to students’ visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles by using interactive and multimodal learning. Virtual Reality also offers realistic simulations and scenarios which mimic real-world scenarios. This enhances students’ critical thinking and problem solving skills. By using virtual reality in education, schools make learning more fun, personalized, and engaging, while still preparing students for the challenges they will face in the future.
