Practice for Bishop Manogue’s JV baseball team has started this semester, and they are looking forward to a promising season ahead.
The fall baseball season ended in early November for the Miners, and their main spring season is finally getting started this month. The team had some optional practices between the fall and spring seasons, but official spring practices started up during Christmas break on January 2nd for both the JV and Varsity teams. However, the teams and lineups will not be official until tryouts happen in mid February. The JV baseball team is currently practicing six days a week to prepare for the upcoming season. The team has high expectations for the 2024 season considering they won the state championship in 2023. The JV boys are set to start playing games in early to mid March and will finish up their season in early May. The spring season will be immediately followed by the summer baseball season in late May which will continue until July. Be sure to wish both the Varsity and JV Bishop Manogue baseball teams good luck in their upcoming spring season, and come out and show your support to games starting in March at the fields behind the main school building.
