Bishop Manogue Girls Basketball team crushes the competition. This year’s girls basketball team is a force to be reckoned with, the girls have an amazing 13-1 record so far this season, they are 1st in the 4A Northern Nevada Girls Basketball Standings, and 3rd in the Nevada Girls Basketball Rankings.
The team has an average of 57.2 points per game, and a total of a whopping 801 points total this season. The team is set to play 7 more games to round out the 2023-2024 girls basketball season.
The team has seven talented seniors on the team this year, many of which are top players in the state. The seniors are Anjali Gosal, Milasarai Tau, Jaileen Yarrow, Katherine Rau, Anna Alonso, Gabrielle Sullivan, and Mata Peaua. Jaileen Yarrow leads the team in points scored per game with an average of 14.5, and Mata Peaua with a close second scoring an average of 11.7 points per game.
The team is excited to continue their winning streak so far this season, and the seniors are all excited to finish out the season strong. Senior Anjali Gosal says this “I am so happy that I have gotten the opportunity to play with all these awesome girls, I am super proud of all the hard work that everyone has put in, and it is very clear on and off the court. I am so excited to see where the rest of the season takes us, and I couldn’t have asked for a better senior season!”
With their next game against Galena High school on the 19th, everyone is looking forward to seeing these talented ladies crush the competition.
