This weekend, the BMCHS Theater Department is putting on Spamalot, with performances from March 14th – March 17th. A slapstick comedy, this musical is guaranteed to earn laughs from all ages.
The cast of Spamalot has been working since November to deliver the faculty and families of Bishop Manogue an entertaining musical, and they’re optimistic as to how it will turn out. “It’ll definitely be something that people will talk about,” says a cast member. “We’ve been working very hard, and we’re super excited to deliver a musical rendition of one of the funniest movies from the 1970’s. Our cast is incredibly talented, and it would be disappointing if you missed it!”
With a cast of around thirty people, everyone has their own role to play. Multiple people have different roles, so there’s room for everyone to have their moment and shine. Students, especially friends of those who are in the musical, have been looking forward to the performance. “I think the musical is gonna be great, and I’m really looking forward to it!” Says one student. Faculty has also been excited to see the show. “This is my first musical I’ve seen by the school so I’m very excited for it,” comments a faculty member.
Other classes and more students have also been taking an interest in the musical. Mrs. Snaza’s Digital Photography class took the official head shots of all of the actors, and are currently putting the poster together. “I’m really excited to see how the musical turns out- I really enjoyed being able to contribute by taking pictures for the official poster.” One student from her class says.
Spamalot is a must-see musical, so make sure to buy your tickets- $10 for students and $15 for everyone else. Come and support your friends, or come see the show for a good laugh and a fun time! We’ll see you there, Miners!
