The Bishop Manogue golf team put on a show at Arrow Creek Golf Club on Monday. They competed against Douglas, McQueen, and Reno. The Manouge golf team dominated their competition, securing the top position against all of the competing schools. They did so well that the second place team, McQueen, was behind them by 12 strokes.
Bishop Manogue golfers claimed the top four individual spots in the tournament. Ethan Cua took fourth place with 76 strokes. Jack Gladys took third place with 75 strokes. Nick Herman took second place with 74 strokes and first place was secured by Luke Swanson with an impressive 71 strokes. The victory at Arrow Creek Golf Club is because of the hard work and dedication of the players and coaches on the Bishop Manogue golf team.
After the tournament golfer Jack Gladys said, “Without the hard work and time poured into our game this tournament victory wouldn’t have been possible. I’m very happy with the results of this tournament and I’m looking forward to the rest of the season.”
As the golf team celebrates this big victory, they look ahead to the future with a tournament on April 29th at Somersett Golf Course held by McQueen. That will be their final tournament before the start of playoffs. After that, regionals will be held on May 6-7 at Somersett Golf Course. If they win regionals they will compete in the state tournament which will be held on May 14th and May 16th at Mountain Falls Golf Club in Vegas.
