If the world was overrun by zombies, do you think you could survive? This would depend on your strength, intelligence, skills, and mindset. Imagine waking up in the middle of the night to people screaming and sirens going off in the distance. What would you do? Could you do anything? Well, lets find out.
When talking about surviving a zombie apocalypse, we must first think about our athleticism. You don’t have to be an Olympic class athlete or a professional bodybuilder, however you do need to be fit. Say that you are running from your zombified brother. You would need to be able to run pretty fast (at least in my case) to at least take cover or climb up a tree. You would also need strength. Climbing up that tree wouldn’t be easy if you never touched a dumbbell in your life. Speed and strength are crucial when dodging zombies, so make sure you are fit.
You also need intelligence. You don’t need to have a PhD in quantum physics, but you must be able to think fast. You need to be able to quickly analyze your surroundings, determine the next best move, and execute it with precision. Although athleticism is important, it is nothing without intelligence.
But what about your skills? Maybe you’re a tech genius or a video gamer. How could you use these skills? You could hack the street cameras, so you can see any zombies lurking in the corners or in alleys. You could craft weapons using basic household items to defend yourself. It doesn’t matter what your skills are; you can use anything to your advantage. So make it count!
However, I think the most important thing you can do is never lose hope. The odds might be stacked against you, but this doesn’t mean that your life is automatically over. A retired Navy veteran said it best: “Always think optimistically. Without optimism, everything seems much harder and you are more likely to fail.” You must stay resilient, think positively, and don’t underestimate the power of human creativity. With a bit of luck and loads of courage, you could outsmart the brainless zombies and live to tell the tale.
So there you go. If there ever is a zombie apocalypse, you must be fit, intelligent, be able to leverage your skills, and think positively. So get on your treadmill, read your science book, and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime. Because in the end, it’s not the zombies you need to fear, but your own will to survive.
