This past Saturday, students at Bishop Manogue Catholic High School had the pleasure of attending the annual homecoming dance. The entire week leading up to the event was filled with many festivities including a rally, volleyball tournament, line dancing lessons, and of course the homecoming football game vs Robert Mcqueen High School.
Spirits were high after a victorious football win, beating the lancers 45-26, and students were filled with excitement for the upcoming dance. Semi formal outfits were picked out to fit the theme of “Jammin back home.” Jammin back home is exactly what the miners did, dancing all throughout the night.
The Manogue student council spent weeks perfecting every detail of the dance, and did an incredible job of making the gym feel like one big dance floor through the use of flashing lights, a light up “HOCO 2024” sign, and a groovy dj.
Overall the 2024 Manogue homecoming dance was one filled with fun, friendship, music, and a lot of dancing. As one student said, “This is such a fun event that I look forward to! I can hardly wait for next year!” Till next year hoco.
