Homecoming 2024 happened the week of September 23 at Bishop Manogue. Each day had a dress up day, there were sporting events, and the week ended with a homecoming dance.
The theme this year was “Jammin’ Back Home” and dress up days included themes like, “Rock and Roll Monday” and “Rootin’ Tootin’ Wednesday.” There was volleyball, soccer, and football games as well.
Many students agree that Friday’s Pep Rally was one of the best they’d been a part of. The skits, games, and activities were new and entertaining. Students enjoyed watching their homecoming candidates perform during the rally.
Friday’s football game included a touching halftime show where Vince Clark was crowned Homecoming King, and Ella Hallert was crowned Homecoming Queen. The night was made better by a Manogue win against McQueen 45-26.
The week concluded with the traditional homecoming dance. Everyone in attendance was dressed their best. Girls wore dresses in all colors, and boys wore suits, or slacks and button down shirts. Because this was the first dance of they year, the students were more excited than usual.
Homecoming 2024 will go down in the books as one of the best yet.
