The Bishop Manogue Miners celebrated their homecoming in style, defeating the McQueen Lancers 45-26 on Friday, September 27th in front of the best crowd. The victory solidified Manogue’s position as a team to watch this season and provided a memorable night for students and families present.

Manogue’s offense set the tone early, with quarterback Brandon Mann leading the charge. His dynamics play, including multiple touchdown passes, allowed the Miners to take control in the first half. At the beginning of the third quarter, McQueen took the lead 20-17 and by the end Manogue took it back and scored 2 touchdowns making the score 31-20.

While McQueen rallied in the second half, Manogue’s defense responded with crucial stops. “We knew they’d come out strong after halftime, but we just wanted to win our homecoming game,” said linebacker Luke Potters.

This win boosts Manogue’s record and pushes them into next week’s game with momentum. With the desire to become 2x state champs growing, the Miners will look to build onto their homecoming performance and continue their strong season.

Looking ahead, Manogue’s next challenge will be Reed Raiders as they aim to secure another victory and continue their climb up the league.
