The Bishop Manogue girls soccer team, plays there last game of the season October 30th, on the against the Lancers at McQueen.
The game started with Bishop Manogue sophomore Gemma Brunetti scoring a header goal off a corner within the first five minutes of the game. Then McQueen came back with a header goal ten minutes later. For the rest of the game, which was eighty minutes, they ran around the field, and no one scored. This ended up being a tide game. They went into a double over time. Each were fifteen minutes. This was a tough battle for both teams, they ran around for one hundred and ten minutes.
The game ended with penalty kicks. First McQueen kicked, and Bishop Manogue goalie Storrey Schnarr made an epic save. Senior Gia Brunetti kicked next for Manogue and scored, putting Manogue up 1-0., Unfortunately the game started to go downhill from there for the Miners, with Macqueen scoring 3 goals to beat them.
This was a hard loss for the team. It was only the 2nd game they lost the entire season, and the last game for all the seniors. Captin Gia Brunetti, senior, said, “ It was a very sad game for the team, but I am proud of all my teammates.”
