Blaze Pizza is hosting a Dine-Out Day for the Manogue Theater Department this Thursday to help fundraise for future productions. They agreed to donate 30% of all of their pizza sales to any person who presents either a physical or digital copy of a flyer we will link below.
This event was put together by Mrs. Morrison, the mom of two cast members of the musical. She has been working hard to fundraise for the Theater Department for a while, from providing T-shirts with pictures of the cast of Grease on the back for the company to buy and contacting Blaze Pizza for this event.
As mentioned before in Miner Detail’s article Bishop Manogue’s Art Department Needs Help, putting on these productions remains a difficult task for this school, with underfunding creating an unsafe and unstable environment for our crew members. Around this time of year, the Arts Department becomes overwhelmed with set production and polishing the fine details of the performance.
Cade Patten, one of the production’s leads, talked about his experience in the musical. “It’s always felt this way. However, our main benefactor, former president Schambari, is gone now. We have a lot less funding than in previous years.” With even less funding following the last few years, fundraising has become a necessary step to facilitate the production of the set design and other factors.
Come on down to Blaze Pizza on South Meadows Parkway to support the Arts Department. The event will take place from 11:00 am – 10:00 pm. Present this flyer for a discount. See you there Miners!
