Join us next Friday to support Bishop Manogue.

The Jim Williams Miner Golf Classic will be held at Old Greenwood, in Truckee, California next Friday October 2nd, 2026. Anyone in the community who is interested can participate. The proceeds will go towards Bishop Manogue Catholic High School. Breakfast and check in is at 9:30. Shotgun start will be at 10:30.

Former players include Manogue’s very own teachers, Bruce Campbell, Eric Greenfield, Megan Bavaro, and CJ DeRuyter. ASB has had this idea in mind for quite some time and they are excited that it has come to life. Players will have to choose their own walk up song, and ASB from Bishop Manogue will announce the player on one of the tee boxes. Bishop Manogue’s boys and girls golf teams will also be on the golf course. They will both be together, and on one hole you can choose where you want to tee off from. The more money you pay, the closer you will get the whole in support of Bishop Manogue.

This photo that you see, is a hole at Old Greenwood where the Miner Golf Classic will take place. The course has many bunkers, and is aligned with lots of trees. It’s a beautiful course and a great place to have the Miner Golf Classic. This course is a Jack Nickalus design and a PGA Championship track.

Jim Williams is former Bishop Manogue Varsity Head Golf Coach Carly Farthing’s grandfather. This event is long-awaited throughout the year, and we would love to see you out there.
