Come And Run Track

Bishop Manogue students you guys should come out and run track this year. Even though the season has started you can still come out and run. The first practice was on February 18th and the first track meet is on March 4th, you can still join the team. Some people come out to run track and quit mid-way thru. Don’t let that be you! Running track is an excellent way to make friends that you never thought you would make. Running track is a fantastic way to stay in shape and have a lot of fun with your friends. You can run against your teammates and challenge them and even yourself. It’s an amazing feeling when you win your first race, it makes you feel like you are on top of the world.

The beginning of the season can be a little tough but I promise you if you just stick with it, you won’t regret it. When we travel to other states to compete, it can be a little scary but once you get into the moment and start running you will have a sudden burst of energy. Once you are at the start of the race you can also be really nervous, but once that gun goes off, all the nerves go away and you feel amazing. Running track can play a big role if you play any other sports because it will build up important muscles that will make you run faster. There have been a lot of athletes that have said track helped them with their other sports. All of the skilled positions of the Ohio State football team ran track, it made them fasters and they won the national championship that year.

For some people just running, in general, can help with mental health or other health problems. Running track can improve a lot of things like your technique, you’ll run faster of course, it can improve pacing yourself, it can help you get in shape and get the body you always dreamed of, it can improve your motivation and can help you become a leader. So Bishop Manogue students come out and run track and bring your friends and you will have the best time of your life. The first practice for the Bishop Manogue track and field team is on February 18th, 2023. Come and at least try your best and who knows you might end up loving it.
