Bishop Manogue student council held its annual welcome back spikeball tournament last Wednesday, August 23rd. Students got the chance to dress up with their teammate, and took it to the net for some fierce games! The participation and costumes from the students were great, and the event was an awesome way to welcome students back.
Teams battled it out in bracket play, in hopes to make it to the finals consisting of two boys and two girls teams. The bloodthirsty players showed the crowds their spikeball skills which made for a great competition, and an entertaining finale game. In the end Ben Scolari and Chase Debruin from team Neva and Wade Huntsman and Cinco Guillen on team USA fought for the win and a Dutch Bros Gift Card. Senior Ben Scolari says “both teams played a great game, but in the end seniors stay on top!” Team Neva swept the win from the underclassmen, beating them by 2 in the final seconds of the match.
Overall, great school spirit and participation were seen from the Manogue students, and student council members cannot wait to see more for the upcoming events! There are some big activities coming up and student participation is needed so make sure to go to every event, and bring your school hype!
