Junior Assembly hosted a dance the past Saturday, on February 3rd, at the National Bowling Stadium.
Highschool students ranging from sophomores to seniors all got ready to attend JA. All these students, spiritized teenagers, quickly prepared for this night all week. From nail appointments, to spray tans, and renting tuxes, everyone had to make sure everything was just right. The doors for the dance opened at 7:45, and the dance started at 8. The dance was packed with teenagers all dressed up head to toe. From bowling, to dancing, and even snacking on food, you were sure to stay entertained all night. The music was bumping all night, with a paid DJ choosing the best songs to get everyone in a groovy mood. Everybody was chatting it up all night, with no worries, or concerns on where the night will take them.
Nola Jaffe, a Junior here at Bishop Manogue Highschool, said that the Junior Assembly dance “was a dream!” It was her first time attending the Junior Assembly dance, when most kids attended their sophomore year as well. Nola claims that being able to dress up all fancy and attend a huge event like that was a new type of experience, that she truly enjoyed to experience for the first time.
The Junior Assembly dance allows kids to escape from reality, while coming together with all their friends from different schools. JA draws students together, and creates a safe but thrilling experience for students of all ages. Overall, the Junior Assembly Dance was definitely a night to remember, leaving students with a memory that will never fade.
