The Bishop Manogue Homecoming ’24 week was a blast.
On Friday, September 27th, the Miners won their homecoming football game against the Lancers, 45-26. The school week consisted of spirit days themed different music genres. There was a homecoming pep-rally on Friday to help the students get hyped before the big game. Players that stood out included Brandon Mann who threw for 24 yards and had four touchdowns, Amir McGruder who rushed for 54 yards and had two touchdowns, along with Marley Spuhler, Cooper Craft, and Alex Hancock. The student section had a great turn out and they were not hesitant to cheer loud for their fellow Miners. Emma Twisslemann, a sophomore at BMCHS said, “Tonight was so much fun and I’m so grateful I go to this amazing school.”
At halftime, the Homecoming Court Nominees went out on the field in their formal attire, waiting to hear who was the 24′ homecoming King and Queens. The elected King was Vince Clark and the Queen was Ella Hallert.
