Excitement fills the air after celebrating senior sunset, the class of 2026 will begin to set off to one of the longest outstanding traditions of senior year at Bishop Manogue: ‘Grad Nite’ at Disneyland. Seniors will begin boarding four big buses at 8:30 PM and departing at 9:00 PM for Anaheim, beginning their 10 hour journey with hopes of getting some sleep before spending almost 24 hours in the Disneyland Parks.
As the Senior class of approximately 180 students will all be divided into four buses based on their last name. While some friends will find themselves separated on different buses, the set buses give students the opportunity to do one last school event and connect with different classmates before graduating. Staff and teachers will be chaperones on the trip to ensure safety and comfort.
“I’m so excited for ‘Grad Nite,’ I haven’t been to Disneyland in so long, and I’m excited to have one last class trip with all of the seniors! I’m most excited to ride the Guardians of the Galaxy Ride.” Senior Nora Enos said. “Im not excited for the bus ride but I’m hoping to get a good amount of sleep before spending a long day in the Park.”
The Disneyland trip, including ‘Grad Nite’ at the park, will serve as one of the last opportunities for the seniors to be all together before graduating. The trip will be a way to celebrate all of the hard work and accomplishments each of the seniors has made over the years, as well as what’s next for each of them.
As the year is coming to an end and the trip approaches, anticipation continues to grow among the senior class. One thing that makes Manogue special is the close-knit community, and this trip will symbolize one final opportunity for the students to create lasting memories before going their own separate ways after graduation. While students are looking forward to all the rides and fun experiences, they will also remember the friendships and community they have made over their four years at Manogue. Even through their own individual endeavors, they will always share the Miner name and be supported by the Manogue Community every step of the way.
