Standout students are being celebrated because of their major accomplishments this year, officially committing to continuing their athletic career. Throughout the 2026 season these students: Luke Swanson, Ella Rawson, Mason Eck, Lily Beckwith, Ryder Scarlett, Joley Luke, Jacobe Cherry, Christian Kayl, and Corbin Koch have shown determination and talent in what it takes to play at the next level. From many different sports, such as golf, soccer, baseball, football, and volleyball, our elite athletes come from.
Golf standouts Luke Swanson and Ella Rawson have committed to play at Santa Clara University and Gonzaga. They have both dominated in the school season. Both have won regionals individually 3 years in a row. They were also key players in leading their teams to regional championships. Ella Rawson also has won two state titles as an individual, and also helped lead her team to win two state championships. Ella says, “I am excited to play at Gonzaga because I am excited to have the D1 experience.” Their perseverance and dedication has helped them to be the most successful and recognized golf players in school history.
Senior Joley Luke has committed to the University of Nevada. She has been a key factor in Manogue soccer’s success. She is currently a team captain and has led her teammates through many victories. Her leadership extends off the field and into the school community. She is the ASB vice president, exemplifying her commitment to a school’s community.
At Manogue, we have a star volleyball team, Lily Beckwith who is committed to play at Long Beach State. On this team Lily Beckwith is a star. Lily has led her team to an undefeated start to the 2026 season . She averages an impressive 2.9 kills per serve. Without her they wouldn’t have their amazing team accomplishments, such as placing 3rd at the High Sierra Tournament.
For football Ryder Scarlett is committed to University of Nevada Las Vegas, Mason Eck is committed to University of Nevada Reno, and Jacobe Cherry is committed to Rice University. They have shown college coaches what it takes to play at the next level. Jocobe Cherry and Mason Eck play the positions of offensive line and defensive line, while Ryder Scarlett is the star kicker for Manogue.
Finally, we have our baseball commits. Christian Kayl is committed to play at Lassen Community College and Corbin Koch is committed to play at College of Southern Nevada. They both helped Manogue to win the 5A regional title. Christian plays positions of pitcher, center fielder, and left fielder. Corbin plays center fielder and pitcher. They both play big roles in Manogue’s baseball team and through them Manogue accomplished a regional title.
Look forward to watching them sign their official contract mid-November to December. This turns their verbal commitment into the real deal making it official that these Miners will fulfill their dreams and compete their sports in high levels.
