The Bishop Manogue Women’s Volleyball team took on the Reno Huskies Monday night at home. The Miners came out victorious after an action-packed fifth set.
The Huskies seemed to have the upper hand after winning the first set 25-18. However, the Miners fought back and won the second set 25-22. The Huskies were not ready to give up and won the third set 25-21. But neither were the Miners after winning the fourth set 25-21. In a decisive fifth set, Bishop Manogue Miners rallied to win 15-12 to secure their win in front of the rowdy Manogue student section.
“No one could leave because it was such a close match,” says Gia Brunetti, “Every point had people jumping up and down. The student section was packed.”
Looking ahead, Bishop Manogue will have a home game on Tuesday against Galena at 6:00 p.m. The theme is Neon. Show up and show out Miners!
